york-heating

York has been a leader in the heating industry for more than 130 years. Their complete line of furnaces, heat pumps and packaged systems offer numerous options for homeowners seeking efficient, affordable heating. To install and maintain your York heating system, you need someone you can trust who has ample experience with York products.

However, finding a York heating system dealer you can trust is not always an easy process. There are dozens of providers and technicians in your area and only a handful of them have the experience and expertise with York products you’re looking for.

We only work with highly trained and experienced contractors and dealers in New Jersey. We can help match you with the best York dealer in your region – someone that will provide expert service for your York heating system for years to come.

Heating Tip

Do you want to save 10 percent a year of your heating bills? It’s as easy as turning your thermostat down 10 percent for 8 hours. If you turn the thermostat down while everyone is a work or school or at night when you are sleeping, you can make a significant difference in your utility bills without sacrificing comfort.  A programmable thermostat makes it easier than ever before to not waste energy heating an empty house. And don’t forget to turn the heat down if you go on vacation!

York Gas Furnaces

So, what exactly matters when choosing a heating system for your home? There are a few things to consider, starting with the cost of the system. Furnaces, for example, come in many different sizes and styles, but York specializes in highly efficient gas furnaces that are designed to minimize monthly energy bills.

However, you still need to factor in the AFUE rating of each system when considering which one will work best for your home. Base models carry AFUE ratings of 80%, the lowest AFUE rating available, yet still very energy efficient. The best furnaces in York’s lineup can reach AFUE ratings of up to 98%. That means that fully 98% of the fuel they consume is used to produce heat for your home.

Size is another issue to consider when you’re selecting a heating system. While the Affinity 9.C and 8.C Series models are full sized for optimal heating capacity, the LX and Latitude series of gas furnaces offer 33” cabinet sizes for compact installation. Because all three series of York furnaces offer multiple efficiency ratings, you can choose solely based on the size needed to fit your home.

York Heat Pumps

For those who want to avoid using consumable fuel, York heat pumps offer a fantastic alternative to traditional furnaces. York heat pumps are designed to provide both heating and cooling, depending on the season. York heat pumps use R-410A refrigerant – an environmentally friendly alternative to chlorine based options. To add to your heating capacity, most York heat pumps come equipped with an electrical-resistance heater. A supplemental, compact furnace can also provide added heating energy during the coldest days of winter.

Packaged systems take the idea of the heat pump to the next level, providing electric heating (though gas models are also available) in a complete one-unit outdoor system. York heat pumps and packaged systems have SEER ratings of between 13 and 18, offering a variety of options depending on your current energy use.

York Heating System Options

Which York heating system you should choose will depend largely on the size of your home, the temperature during the coldest winter months, and how much money you want to spend on your energy bill each month. You should have your indoor heating volume carefully measured and your insulation inspected to determine how much heating capacity your home needs to keep you comfortable regardless of the weather.

We only work with the best New Jersey York contractors and dealers and we know who will provide the best service and expertise for your new heating system.
